It is possible to launch dinghies from the beach. The coast is excellent for canoeing. When the surf is up, the waves are second to few; Kite flyers enjoy the space; Hang gliders sometimes land having taken off from Cemmaes head; Anglers spend many an hour fishing. |

The Pembrokeshire Coastal Path is on your doorstep and the ancient Preseli hills are nearby with their standing stones and cromlechs. The Poppit Sands Surf Lifesaving club and the RNLI provide Lifeguard cover during the holiday season. The RNLI have a state of the art rescue centre adjacent to the Lifeguards. The Coastguard station is further up the road from Glan-y-Mor. These services are always at the ready in case of need. The Poppit Sands Café is across the road from the lifeboat, providing all the usual beach refreshments, including home baked cakes and meals. They also sell wetsuits and boogie boards and other beach toys. |
